Ooops once again Im over looking my Blogger Duties! eek! But hopefully I cn get back on track with this filler in ;) (oo by the way, hasn't the weather be gorgeous today!)
♥ I recently attended the Vintage clothes fair (poster bellow) and althought the clothing was so beautiful that I wanted almost every item to take home for my wardrobe to feast on; I found the prices to be extaustionate! Many of the dresses were £60 and above, which I understand is due to the age of the garment and its originality. However when you know that the clothes on sale were most proberbly originally bought for under a tenner at car boot sales and charity shops, it really does make you think, why couldnt I do the same and save myself alot of money! (which being a student saveing for New York expeditions, really could do with!) I would really like to look into the large market which goes on a sunday down in Brighton so if any one has any more info it would be be appreciated!?
♥ Really looking forward to 'Sex and the City' out this month. Out 28th May to us English lot (if ive remember rightly). I'll be there with my gaggle of girlies nd boxes of treats to munch on! Can't wait! Oh and on the note of films Im excited to investigate weather 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly' is out on dvd yet.
♥ Ive heard lots about two main events from blogs recently a Gala institute of costume event in New York (cant remember proper name so sorry) which by the sound of it includes so many celebrity appearences. The collection shown is based upon superheros (from what I have seen). Which is not so surpriseing with the ammount of superhero related films released over the past years. For instance I saw previews for 'The Incredible Hulk' recently, but I thought they had already made one based on the character only a few years ago?? Oh and the other event is also as interesting! There is news that an all-black issue ofVogue Italia is currently being shot, with almost all and only Black models. Currently only Steven Meisel is known to be shooting for it, however there are rumours that more photographers may join. I think the magazine will be fantastic asthetically, however in some ways if there was a whole magazine advertiseing that for one issue they were only going to use 'white' models, wouldnt it be criticised for racism? The whole issue is difficult, but I think the magazine will be empowering and become a beautifull collectors item.
♥ New York! We finally booked it and I'm so super excited! Ive done some research on a few places to visit, such as magnolia bakery (featured in SaTC) and Art Gallerys e.c.t. But does anyone have any inside knowledge on great vintage places or shops to visit? Or even some fab sights to see? All will be appreciated :)
♥ Robin Williams.. I really do love him. Comic Genius.
♥ http://www.dumblittleman.com/2008/04/10-commandments-for-dropping-10-pounds.html This Reads Amazing from the 'dumblittleman' (ironic?). Its just the Ideas I need on my plans to eat healithier and hopefully look better for it. Its not about loseing weight as such, but to basicly treat my body better and to try and improve my skin, nails and hair as a result. The coconut oil for your skin sounds great and i'll be itching to get my hands on some!
Finally I hope this beautifull weather continues and I hope you are all enjoyng it as much as I am
♥ Much love ♥
